Yinka Olaito - Africa Lead

is a journalist, podcaster, disability inclusion and development expert, whose  work sits at the intersection of media, policy, and social justiceOver the past decade,  Yinka had led and contributed to initiatives that amplify underrepresented voices, particularly persons with disabilities, within development discourse.

Through journalism and his podcast platform, he examines systemic exclusion  His reporting has consistently highlighted gaps in  governance frameworks disproportionately affect marginalized communities in developing countries, reinforcing inequalities Yinka's engagement extends beyond storytelling into capacity development and policy advocacy.

Yinka also leads  Africa Young Media Professionals, a pan africa media skill development nonprofit which strengthens ethical reporting accountability in public-interest journalism.He is an ordinary member of Disability Journalism Forum(DJF), an initiative of BBC , UK, an advisory member of Changing Attitudes through Media Representations of Disability, a research outfit in UK and Kenya  , and also.member of IGF-DCAD (Internet Governance Forum's Dynamic Coalition on Accessibility and Disability), among other initiatives.

Yinka has volunteered, consulted for (Non) profits, Development Agencies like United Nations Women(Women Econmic Empowerment) , United Nations Populations Fund(Communications &strategy), United Nations Office of Projects and Services, Kenya(Social media Advocacy and Climate Change), Banks etc.He holds a MA in media and Communications from University of Leicester, Uk and couple of certicates in strategic management, global diplomacy, public policy, journalism etc

Tuma Provian Dandiis a veteran Tanzanian journalist, producer, and disability rights advocate with over 23 years of impact-driven storytelling. He works with the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation, where he champions inclusive media and elevates underreported voices.Born in Kigoma along Lake Tanganyika, Tuma's life changed in 1994 after a road accident left him with a permanent physical disability.
He returned to school against the odds—then rose to become one of Tanzania's strongest voices on disability and media inclusion.He holds a BA and MA in Mass Communication from the Open University of Tanzania and the University of Dar es Salaam.
His career began at Radio Mlimani before moving to TBC in 2017.Tuma is the founder of FANAKA Magazine, a bold platform reshaping narratives on disability.

He is also a writer, humanitarian, and changemaker—donating wheelchairs, mobilizing blood drives, and pushing for year-round disability coverage beyond symbolic moments like International Day of Persons with Disabilities.Now serving as President of the Tanzania Paralympic Committee, Tuma is driving inclusion beyond media—into sports, policy, and public life.Journalist. Rhulani Baloyi is an accomplished radio and TV broadcaster, she is an award-winning journalist, boasting among others a SAFTA award. She is currently employed as senior news editor at SABC News. She is also a member of the South African National Editors Forum (SANEF), a forum which promotes media freedom and ethics.

She is also a Casual Day ambassador, South Africa's leading fundraising & awareness campaign for persons with disabilities. Rhulani is the Deputy Chairperson of the SA Mobility Blind Trust, an NGO which seeks to empower people with visual impairment. Rhulani is a Former Trustee of the energy mobility education trust (between 2015 and 2023). 

This is a foundation which seeks to advance the opportunities of inclusive economic development and shared growth through high school programs, financing for higher education in the form of scholarships & skills development and working with people living with disabilities. She is also a member of the SA Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).

Rhulani is a voiceover artist who can speak at least seven South African languages. She is a program director, facilitator, and motivational speaker.

Rhulani has been living with a visual impairment since childhood, she believes in giving a voice to the struggles of people with disabilities especially women.Rhulani is about to complete her Masters of Manaegement degree at the Wits School of Governance.

She has just submitted her final Research Paper. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Post-graduate Diploma in Education from Wits University.Rhulani's motto is: "Put me in the deep end and I shall swim through".

is a dynamic journalist, public speaker, and award-winning MC from Kasese District in the Rwenzori region of Western Uganda.

Passionate about community transformation, he uses his voice and platform to address critical social issues such as youth empowerment, teenage pregnancy, Story Telling and sexuality, sparking meaningful conversations that inspire change.With a strong background in journalism and mass communication, William Hosford has gained hands-on experience through working with UBC Ngeya Radio, strengthening his storytelling and media skills.

is an Investigative media and content strategy professional with 4+ years of experience in radio broadcast and documentary film production, specializing in accountability-driven storytelling, public interest reporting, and strategic communication that advances transparency and civic awareness. He has produced and supported multi-platform media content that informs community dialogue, strengthens public understanding of key issues, and amplifies underreported narratives through both audio and visual storytelling formats.

is a seasoned Nigerian journalist, editor, and media strategist with a strong track record across print, public service, and digital journalism.

She began her career at The Hope Newspaper, where she worked across multiple desks including Court, Business & Economy, Religion, Women Affairs, and Politics—rising to become Editor of the widely read "From the Court" page. In March 2021, she transitioned into public service as Special Assistant on Media to the Wife of the Governor of Ondo State, a role she held until January 2024.Following her public service, she returned to The Hope Newspaper as a Special Correspondent, contributing high-impact features and editorials.

She also serves as Senior Assistant Editor of The Hope Magazine, the publication's sister platform under Owena Press Limited.In 2017, Mary founded JATS Online Newspaper, expanding her influence in digital media and public discourse.A Fellow of the Report Women Network (REWON) at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism, she has received specialized training in climate change reporting, digital security for journalists in crisis contexts, and reporting in shifting democracies through globally recognized institutions including IDEP, the Knight Center, and the Global Press Institute.

Since 2016, she has been an active UNICEF media partner in Southwest Nigeria, consistently amplifying development and human-interest stories.Mary holds an OND in Mass Communication, a Bachelor's degree in English Language Education, and a Master's degree in Language Education. She is also a certified journalist from the National Broadcast Academy and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).Beyond the newsroom, she is a passionate advocate for the SDGs, disability inclusion, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). 

As a seasoned media professional, Funghie Mutsinze has established himself as a prominent figure in the industry, with a career spanning over a decade. His impressive resume includes stints at Radio Maria, Y FM, and the Times Group of Companies. Beyond his media work, Mutsinze is a dedicated advocate for social and political rights, leveraging his platform to drive positive change. His passion for music is evident in the several albums he has released, showcasing his artistic talent. Despite facing challenges due to his visual impairment, Mutsinze has persevered, earning recognition through various awards from the media and Music France. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of Malawi, supplemented by training programs in politics, leadership, human rights, and SRHR.

is a career journalist specialized in civic journalism with a bias to Disability rights , inclusion and advocacy.Mwape has during his close to 30 years working career undertaken major assignments among them the Pan African Conference on mental health in Cape Town sometime in 2008.

This conference saw the establishment of PANUSPD standing for Pan African Network of Users of Pysco social Disabilities as well as  Disability International conference in Madrid Spain.Locally, Mwape Mulubwa is the immediate past Board chairperson of Mental Health Users Network of Zambia ( MHUNZA), an organization spearheading advocacy and human rights for people living with phsycosocial disabilities.

Himself being a person with disability following a fatal road traffic accident, Mwape Mulubwa carries with him a lived experience where from the time he unfortunately got involved in a fatal road traffic accident ( RTA ) that nearly nearly took his life in 1989, he has remained headstrong in graduating and practicing journalism to senior Management level.

He is the anchor and producer of a 30 minute discussion program labeled " Disability and You."

Across nearly three decades in the field, he has taken on major assignments, including the 2008 Pan-African Conference on Mental Health in Cape Town—an event that led to the formation of the Pan African Network of Users of Psychosocial Disabilities (PANUSPD) as well as the Disability International Conference in Madrid, Spain.On the home front, Mulubwa has played a leading role in shaping advocacy, serving as the immediate past Board Chairperson of the Mental Health Users Network of Zambia (MHUNZA), an organization at the forefront of defending the rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities.His work is deeply personal.

Today, he anchors and produces the 30-minute TV programme "Disability and You" on ZANIS TV, using the platform to challenge stereotypes and amplify unheard voices. With the right support, Mulubwa aims to scale his coverage—spotlighting changemakers and reinforcing a powerful truth: disability is not inability.
